David Bradshaw
General Superintendent, Water Department
Imperial Irrigation District
David is the General Superintendent for the Imperial Irrigation District's Resources, Planning and
Management Department. The Imperial Irrigation District is the nations largest and is home to over 80
crops grown annually. David works closely with Imperial Valley growers to conserve that precious
resource.water. The QSA, a multi-generation settlement agreement, provides the framework for water
transfers to the urban coast and opens the door to water conservation programs for desert farmers. David
and his colleges will assist in these water conservation efforts over many years to come.
David's love of the outdoors and water has led to his favorite hobbies of boating on the Colorado River
and camping with his family. David also enjoys hunting, fishing, and entering golf tournaments with his
brother.
David takes an active leadership role in the community, assisting his wife in the youth program for the
Cornerstone Community Church. David is the Holtville Rotary immediate past-president and teaches
agriculture evening classes at the Imperial Valley College to students interested in soils, fertilizer,
and irrigation.
David and his wife Dee live with their school age children Brooke and Evan in the small community of
Holtville, the home of the "carrot capital" in the fertile Imperial Valley. David and Dee met at Cal
Poly San Luis Obispo in the Agriculture Department where they both graduated with B.S. Degrees. Dee is
an Environmental Biologist with the Imperial Irrigation District.
