Nicole Darracq
Partner
AgPRO Marketing
Nicole is a partner in AgPRO Marketing, a unique partnership created to provide innovative solutions to
the economic challenges faced by the modern family farm. Blending agri-tourism expertise with
sophisticated branding and marketing techniques, Nicole helps smallholders improve their bottom line
while staying focused on the agricultural lifestyle and traditions that sustain their quality of life.
AgPRO offers business planning, image development, product launch management, operations assistance,
media buying and merchandising services tailored to transform farm products into farm experiences and
increase profitability across the board.
Originally a corporate winery marketing executive, she started her consulting business in 2002, bringing
product launch management and image development services to family-owned wineries and expanding her client
base beyond the wine industry to a range of small and mid-size businesses. In founding AgPRO, Nicole
combined her polished marketing savvy with the award-winning creativity of Darren Schmall, agri-tourism's
innovative "Pizza Farmer", adding another level of experience and value for all of their clients. For fun
she teaches wine sensory evaluation at the community college level and continues to "guest sommelier"
charity galas and private events. Her speaking engagements draw raves from the hundreds of people who
then use the tools she gives them to increase their own success.
Raised in Sacramento, California, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from the University of
California at Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations and a minor in Art History. She
lives outside of Jackson, California in the Sierra foothills, where she indulges her passion for kayaking,
backpacking, hiking and all things outdoors. Active in her community, she was a founding member of the
Lake County Wine Alliance, serving on the Board of Directors, and has been instrumental in creating
successful events supporting the Sacramento Food Bank, local police and fire departments, theater and the
arts.
