Donna France
Co-owner
Mar Vista Berry, LLC
Donna along with her husband, Greg, run a family-owned agribusiness located in Santa Maria. Together they farm over 340 acres of strawberries producing both the Ventana and Albion varieties. Production is all but year-round. Donna's responsibilities include office management, human resources and the employee safety program. In her capacity as co-owner, Donna oversees all financial related aspects of Mar Vista Berry plus their agricultural equipment leasing company.
While not in the office, Donna enjoys cooking and traveling. You would most likely find her reading recipe books or online trying to find new methods to prepare her family's favorite foods. Her love of Italian food manifested itself prior to and while visiting Rome. Since then she uses as many fresh ingredients as possible. It is not uncommon to visit her home and smell the delicious Italian aromas simmering in the kitchen.
Donna graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and a concentration in Credit and Finance.
Donna's leadership role began in her community in 1996 with an introduction to the Boys & Girls Club. Since then she has volunteered with the Club and, due to her dedication and commitment, she received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2006. In 2002, she was selected to participate in Santa Maria Valley Leadership. Currently, she is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Orcutt, the 2005/06 Past President and remains an officer of the Club.
Donna and Greg live in Santa Maria along with their two dogs, Lucky and Levi. Greg shares in Donna's leadership, and is somewhat responsible for Donna's passion in the agriculture community. He serves as a Commissioner for both the California Strawberry Commission and the Santa Barbara County Ag Advisory Board.
