Ag Leadership History Project Help Preserve the Story of Ag Leadership As we look toward the future of Ag Leadership, we also want to honor and preserve the stories that helped shape our foundation. Through the CALF Oral History Project, we are capturing firsthand accounts from alumni who experienced the early years of the California Agricultural Leadership Program. We are beginning with Classes 1–5, gathering stories about what those pioneering days were like, the visionaries who helped build the program, the challenges and opportunities facing California agriculture at the time, and the lasting impact Ag Leadership had on their lives and careers. These conversations provide a unique opportunity to document the history, values, and experiences that have shaped generations of agricultural leaders. By preserving these stories, we hope to ensure that future fellows and alumni can learn from the lessons, perspectives, and leadership journeys of those who came before them. As the project grows, we look forward to expanding our outreach to additional early classes and continuing to build a living archive of Ag Leadership’s history. If you are an alumnus from an early class and would like to share your story, we invite you to participate. Your experiences are an important part of our collective history, and we would be honored to help preserve them for future generations. There are several ways to contribute to the CALF Oral History Project, and we welcome participation in whatever format is most comfortable for you. Participate in a recorded video interview by completing our online interest form. Submit your memories and stories online through our Oral History questionnaire. Print and mail your responses using our downloadable PDF form. Write to us directly with your reflections, photos, or materials you’d like to share. Call us if you’d prefer to share your story by phone or need assistance with the process. Whether you have a detailed story to tell or a few memories you’d like to preserve, your experiences are an important part of Ag Leadership’s history. We’re happy to answer questions and help you find the participation option that works best for you.
