KEYNOTE SPEAKER: DAVID CARR Born and raised in the Central Valley, David Carr led the Fresno State Bulldogs to an 11–3 record in 2001, his senior year. He was the first overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Carr spent five seasons in Houston and later played with the Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Giants, where he won a Super Bowl Championship in 2011. Today, David serves as a football analyst for the NFL Network, hosts a weekly iHeartMedia radio show, and co-hosts the Home-Grown podcast with his brother, Derek Carr. Deeply rooted in the Central Valley, he supports numerous community initiatives and partnerships. David is married to Melody Carr, and they have five children: Austin, Tyler, Cooper, Grace, and Piper.
