Theresa Becchetti (35): Paying it Forward

Theresa Becchetti (35) recalls wanting to get more involved with Ag Leadership after attending the all class reunions at Loren Booth’s (27) ranch in Minkler. She became the class liaison and thrives on keeping her cohort connected and engaged. “The ability to connect with my classmates, attend local alumni events, and connect with other alumni has always sparked the passion I had for Ag Leadership,” said Theresa. “From our Class 35 social calls once a month (Hey Class 35…if you haven’t joined us yet…third Wednesday of the month!), attending regional events, helping as a greeter for past interviews (even for an introvert) – it can fill me up. I want to pass that on to others.” Theresa said fostering the connections gained from her experience with Ag Leadership and ensuring the future of the program motivates her to give back. “Giving back to me means paying it forward to someone I may not know yet, who will be able to have similar experiences that can impact their life.” Theresa hopes the legacy will continue to usher in new generations of ag leaders for California.
